A less-uptight Francisco Liriano is keeping his cool and pitching well, something the White Sox found out on Monday.

If I got a call from the Yankees for Liriano's services...I jump in a heartbeat. Yankees are loaded with good young talent.

memo to the coaching staff: 1) with the addition of the double bubble chewing gum, liriano may be a keeper 2) and please get some help for morneau against lefties. it's getting painful to watch....

Cautiously optimistic. If he keeps this up, he should be in Toronto by the end of July.

Great to see tonight, some good baseball lately. I've enjoyed it. But it's Hendriks tomorrow night and he's going to pop our balloon.

It must be nice coaching from last place when wins and losses don't mean much - to leave a pitcher in there to figure it out for himself. Glad it worked out this time. Hopefully, Frankie is pitching himself into trading condition...

Frankies stock is hot, time to sell and get young talent.

The Twins need pitching. Why would you trade Liriano when he is figuring things out?

I always love to see the Twins win, especially against the White Sox. But here's my fear: I see shades of last year. They will win one, maybe two more against Chicago, do well this weekend against KC, and wind up closing the gap to somewhere around maybe 5 games, maybe less. Someone in the front office will get jumpy and think, "hey, we might actually be in this thing after all, we're not out of it yet," and that will keep the Twins from making the aggressive selling off/building for the long-term future needs that they need to be making at the deadline this year.
