Minneapolis is an architecturally vibrant city and deserves a stadium design that is modern, functional and provides a unique signature reflecting the creativity of it's people. Whatever decisions are made, please, do not build a warehouse-style knockoff of Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium. Build an amenity that captivates and distinguishes Minneapolis from all other major league cities. Target Field is a success partly because it is no clone of any other ballpark. Do us proud Mr. Mondale.

It looks like Bovada is waaaaaay to optimistic about the Gophers' chances of winning the Big Ten.

That 100-1 odds for the gophs should help coach Kill in the long run...that can be used as inspiration to pump up a team that could end up in 7th place....and yes a football venue like Target Field would be awesome...

he can always grab a broom and sweep up all those dollars that will be flying around the new stadium as the area booms

How many Quarterbacks do the Gophers need? I would think adding more depth to D-line would be more important.

All winter I watched Gopher BB and determined the Tubster was totally inept the last 10 minutes of a game. Always outcoached by every other Big Ten coach and a loss was the result. He can't, with all his experience, develop an inbounds play. As soon as the other team turns up the defensive pressure, Tubby's offensive scheme becomes totally unusuable. Now they want to extend his contract, doesn't anybody up there have a clue?

Only a government employee (Bill Lester) would "wonder what he will be doing" with the new commission. In private industry, the answer would be: NOTHING! Your former entity has ceased to exist! Unbelievable.

Unbelievable--keeping Tubby? I guess Tyus Jones is going to look good in Kentucky blue!

Unbelievable that Tubby is *still* able to con Minnesota out of almost two million dollars per year...all that for producing teams that can't even get an NCAA tourney invite.
