It will be nice when this is over and we as Minnesotans can be proud that we stood up to the bigotry that other states have actually printed on their constitutions.

Dick Cheneys daughter just married a woman. Dick Cheney!!! Mr. Conservative. How/why is her marriage going to affect anyone elses?

The tide turns with Minnesota in November, 2012. Once upon a time, states enshrined bigotry against other races into their constitution. It's time for Minnesota to lead the way toward a future of progress where all human beings regardless of race or sexual orientation share the same equal rights. We must be vigilant and we must maintain the energy heading into the coming election. To the GOP who hoped to use this as a wedge issue, won't you be in for a surprise?

This doesn't belong in the constitution, how one feels about it is unimportant. The Constitution is a guide to proper and fair government, amendments should be sacred, not a place to promote and politic.

This country just continues to go down the tubes. Very Sad that we have fallen so far from what our fore fathers envisioned!! I am sure same sex marriage never crossed the minds of the great men who wrote the constitution.

I'm so glad they were loud and annoying. That's a beautiful way to win converts. And it should be extremely helpful preaching to the choir at the pride festival, seeing as not one person that believes in traditional marriage, faith, and family values, and who will be voting FOR the amendment, was attending it.

If Conservatives care so much about the "sanctity" of marriage - why don't they do something to outlaw divorce? Divorce has destroyed more marriages than anything else ever will...

"It will be nice when this is over and we as Minnesotans can be proud that we stood up to the bigotry that other states have actually printed on their constitutions" -------------------------------------------------------- Proud Minnesotans will vote to protect the institution of marriage like 32 other proud states have.

"Very Sad that we have fallen so far from what our fore fathers envisioned!! I am sure same sex marriage never crossed the minds of the great men who wrote the constitution." -------------------------------------------------------------------------- While our great forefathers would wholeheartedly support the freedom of anyone to do as they please in the privacy of their bedrooms without government interference, I can absolutely assure you with 100% conviction, that they would NEVER have agreed with forming laws and regulations SUPPORTING, ENDORSING, AND GLORIFYING homosexuality. Homosexuality should be COMPLETELY outside the realm of government in any way.
