Russo, which of the three all-Metro teams was he on? Which Mns were selected behind him?

What a sham coverup story for what everyone knows was a token pick. Blah Blah about the name. It's the entire reason the kid was selected in the 7th round. Knowledgeable fans dont buy this garbage. This was a pick for Grandpa and the family.

"On our list, we go down our book, and there was a name way ahead of Louie, so I was just looking at the board talking to [fellow scout] Brian Hunter next to me, saying, 'We're going with this kid'...." Marty Nanne....So whats going on Wild? Why?_

So unless I read it wrong, they passed on a kid that was much higher on their board and instead went with Nanne. And he wasn't a token pick?

"Marty Nanne was sitting at the table, but Fletcher and assistant GM Brent Flahr kept the selection a secret." Wild...What is going on here? This is outragious...

Way too much fret over a 7th round selection who was projected to go right where he did. One thing that wasn't noted.. the player they had rated a lot higher... was he in the CHL or Europe? If so, that alone is why Fletcher passed, as he clearly wanted a college prospect that he wouldn't have to worry about signing for several years. That way he doesn't have to worry about said prospect pushing the team towards the 50 contract limit. No reason to complain about this pick... at... all!

Maybe they can trade his rights for nick leddy. It just goes to show the Wild don't know what they are doing. Nanne might be a great kid but he wasn't even the best player on his own high school team. He was outplayed by a 9th and 10th grader all season and the Wild draft him. No Fault on the kids part but come shame on the Wild!!! No secret Lou Nanne and Chuck Fletcher dads are old pals and one of the reason fletcher got the job in the first place. Good for the Nanne Family!!!

Holy cow folks.....the pick is free and he may develop into a great hockey player or let Lucia ruin him.

Sounds like a lot of jealous people. Give the kid a break.
