These guys are out in the rural areas every summer. I'd seen them before, and the one that came to our door even had his 9 year old son along. I didn't bite, but a neighbor did. Two years later, the 1 inch or less asphalt that they laid down had crumbled almost completely. Worthless, but people fall for it all the time.

Always a gamble...5 years ago "they" came through the neighborhood with the "we have some extra" ploy...cost was $1k. a few neighbors bit...5 years later they still have new looking driveways and I still have a $4k bid sitting on my desk...everyone once in a while you gamble and win I guess.
