Royce White the person and Royce White the player are difficult to pin down, but there's no denying he has talent uniquely his own.

It's not good to be suckered a 3rd time by someone. Then again, he could be a special talent and it would be a lot of fun to see his talents mixed in with what we got started last year. What the heck. Go for it ;)

This clown has been GIVEN way too many chances. Why do we keep seeing articles on him? His whole story seems to be- now that he has a chance to make it big ... he'll give you one of the million excuses why he felt entitled to being a knucklehead. I'd like to see an article on a kid with talent who walked the straight and narrow, was a good student, a good citzen has adhered to the rules of decent society ... but every time you read about Joe Mauer- everyone criticizes him!

he wont be there at 18... but if he is... not a bad risk pick at all. Take him!

If given the chance the Wolves would be best advised to steer clear of White. This guy's got some issues to say the least.

For the sake of his 16-month-old son, I hope things work out for White. He's one blown-out knee away from being a young father with shaky job prospects.

I am convinced many star athletes have mental health issues, but are not man enough to talk about it. It is all over the place.....1/2 the US population has taken anti-depressants at one time or another. Anxiety is a real disorder and is certainly treatable. I'd pick him.

Awesome player and probably won't be there at #18, but even if he is, he has to many issues. One year at Iowa St without incident?...that's not enough proof everything's going to be okay. Wolves do not need any drama

I'm an Iowa State fan living in Iowa and had the chance to see Royce play last year. First, he stayed out of trouble for 2 years in Ames. He had to redshirt for one year. Not only did he stay out of trouble (as far as I know, of course), he was an asset to the Ames community. I've heard nothing but great things about his interaction with fans. He'll talk to any kid that comes up to him, he poses for pictures and signs autographs for whoever. He's polite and has owned up to he past mistakes. He has done a lot of community service type work and has raised money for a local home for troubled teens. He'll be missed at Iowa State not just because he is a great player but for the type of person he has been here and for his great personality. I've had to laugh at all of the concern about his past and his anxiety.....I'd rather have a guy who knows what his personal weaknesses are than someone who doesn't. Royce sure seems to be aware of his and I think can be a real asset to the community he lands in next week. Honestly, my only concern with him going to the Timberwolves is I wonder if there are people here who might not be the best influence on him. I would hate for him to be sucked back into any of the stuff that he escaped a couple of years ago.
