Informative article. I still remember finding the Rapala that Santa had brought me and placed in my Christmas stocking, circa 1963. It drove me crazy having to wait six months to try it out. Caught a walleye on Saganaga with it the first time I tried it. I was "hooked" on Rapalas from that day on.

Nice story! I never met Ray but it brings back some memories of when I was a young kid getting haircuts from his dad Gus. I remember besides being a barber Gus had a gun shop and did reloading in his south Minneapolis home's basement.
