Let me take this first opportunity as the first poster in the first article on the first meeting to mention this tax giveaway to build a entertainment venue for a privately held entertainment product is wrong.

Will this new sports authority have any say in how much Viking tickets and Personal Seating Licenses will cost? So far, the fans are still waiting to hear from Vikings ownership/management about these costs. Several attempts to get these questions answered when I have call the Vikings ticket office at 612.338.4537 have not been fruitful. Shouldn't the costs to fans be considered when building the new stadium? Will the new sports authority keep the common fan in mind when making decisions?

What is the telephone number that citizens can call to reach the public servants on this commission? For starters, detailed and fully complete meeting minute records will be requested. Copies of requests for bids, bid proposal responses, commission reasoning used in the selection of a company for a specific part of the project, environmental impact statements, etc. Also, where will all of the public meeting notices for this public commission be posted (aka the designated legal newspaper) and what is the required number of days prior to the meeting happening in order for the public meeting to be considered legal?

"elo_62: Will this new sports authority have any say in how much Viking tickets and Personal Seating Licenses will cost? Shouldn't the costs to fans be considered when building the new stadium? Will the new sports authority keep the common fan in mind when making decisions?" ---- Sadly, I believe the answers to your above three questions will be no, no, and no. As for the last question specifically, remember what the U of MN was going to do to the 'common fan' with regard to alcohol sales? Only for those in the executive style suites? The 'common fans' became quite angry about that. And now, the 'common fan' will need to buy and consume their beer away from their seats and away from their field! Do not forget, the only reason for this unnecessary project is to make more money than the millions in annual profit that the team was already making. Be sure to wave to the wealthy looking down upon you from their new executive suites. BTW, they will be using those suites as tax writeoffs (aka business meeting spaces!). Can you use your plastic seat as a tax writeoff?

Am just wondering ... how did the Vikings know how much money to ask for from the State of Minnesota since the stadium design, etc. was not known to them? I have been told by Vikings representatives at 612.338.4537 that ticket costs and PSLs cannot be determined until the costs of building the stadium are known. Did the Vikings lie to the State of Minnesota or to me, a fan?

I think the Vikes have already gotten plans. they don't need a bunch of "let's put another drinking fountain THERE, athletes get thirsty, too, and the 50 yard line is a good neutral place" bureaucrats with pencils near the construction.
