Miracles do happen!! As a father of three sons, I could imagine any one of them wading in the water, totally unaware of possible risks. Thank God for this miracle and the fact that no lives were lost in the midst of so much material devastation!!

Unbelievable. Reminds me of the saying, Never go faster than your guardian angel can fly.

This story is why I read the paper. You read the same old garbage day in and out just to get a gem of a story like this one from time to time.

I am so happy our young fellow was found, safe and sound. He seems like a wonderful, wonderful boy and his mom sounds pretty great too. I was moved by this story. Thanks Strib. It reminds us all what is truly important in life.

I imagine it was like a really bad waterslide ride. Someday he can tell his kids and grandkids this story. We are all happy that he came out OK. I hope he tells all the other kids to stay out of the puddles during and after a downpour.

Who needs the water slides at the Dells when you got the drains? Way to go kid, we are pulling for ya. Maybe you'll be a lifeguard someday. You're darn lucky the loose polar bear wasn't hanging out in the woods.

Why are the STRIB comment editors hypocritical? I tried to post two comments questioning the dislike votes on the miracle comments and neither one has been added. However one that disputes miracles is allowed with apparent glee...
