The Vikings are hilarious, they are embarrassing, they are heartbreaking, but they never are boring.

Since the 1976 season which was the Vikings last Super Bowl appearance, the Vikings have gone to 3 more NFC Championship games. The irony is that they have been spaced out exactly 11 years,,,,1987 vs Wash...1998 vs Atl and 2009 vs New Orl. Does this mean the Vikings next SB bid will be in 2020,,,???

Thorsrock - It's a nice theory but they have actually been to 5 NFC Championship games since their last Super Bowl. You missed 1977 season - lost to Dallas, and 2000 season - lost to NY Giants.

Sorry about the omission of 1977 & 2000...yes they did get there those two seasons. I stand corrected, however there is that odd 11 year connection on the years I noted.... just a thought.

@Thorstock and acoustic470... did you read the article? it was funny....as Pat normally is...sarcastic but funny...Twins could be in first place by 8 games and running away with the Central and Vikings would still get the ink at the Strib...just the way it is, been and always will be.

Not only are vikings keeping up their end but so are the fans...true to form, we've begun with the ' I never really liked him in the first place, he's overrated' comebacks

If Percy leaves, the Vikings receiving corps will be a joke. And I don't think Peterson will be ready week 1. It's going to be another looong season.
