Semisonic, Jayhawks and others set for all-local state-fair show

The first all-Minnesota music concert since 1998 will fill Garrison Keillor's traditional slot.

I missed Semisonic's show a month or so ago, so I'm glad there is another chance to see them! Sure, I've seen them four or so times, but they always put in a good show.

The Jayhawks are not almost were's, they are to alt-country what the Replacements are to alt-rock. In both cases it took the rest of the world 20 years to figure out what we knew here all along.
