Gevo stock soars 31% after a biofuel patent ruling

A federal judge rejected a competitor's patent infringement claim, freeing Gevo to sell isobutanol produced in Luverne, Minn.

local plant makes iso from corn. malasia plant makes iso from plant matter? why do we continue to use corn for raw material which only drives up the price of corn? ethanol market has peaked so company spends money to convert plant to make iso and yet they still continue to chew up corn.

Because Luverne is surrounded by corn fields and the plant in Malaysia is probably surrounded by something else?
