I've been a veteran patient at the VA in Minneapolis for 43 years. My experience and many others have found the mental health department is inadequate in dealing with veteran issues. They are more nocuous now than they were during the Vietnam era. They're famous for making superficial observations which produce erroneous conclusions. Your mental health notes, you will find, are full of errors and since your chart can be read by just about anyone on the hospital staff they will believe what they read. Look for there pride, arrogance and self righteousness and you'll find they probably got into mental health to try and understand there own Illness. Many of us older vets had better fortunes in private mens groups or a minister/ priest. It's amazing how much biblical truth can set you free. God Bless you!
