Wisconsin's wolf population grows slightly

Just remember to thank Senator Amy Klobuchar for her relentless efforts to de-list the wolf, so this hunting/trapping seasons can happen. She was obviously pandering to potential Tea-Party folks, in the hope they wouldn't run somebody against her. I wonder how many votes she will actually gain for making the wannabe wolf killers happy? I'll never vote for her again. The most pathetic thing is that this was such a transparent effort to mollify voters that she feared would come after her. That is also why she cozied up to Rep. Bachmann and the Bridge to Nowhere. It would be nice to have a Senator with some actual fortitude.

The comments from Adrian Weydeven could not be further from the truth... he ridicules reports from sportsmen and refuses to accept sightings and track observations from across the state ""Volunteer trackers have become a critical portion of our surveys that have allowed us to obtain reliable estimates of the state wolf population in winter," Adrian Wydeven, DNR mammalian ecologist who coordinates the wolf survey, said in a news release. "We hope to continue attracting citizens in helping to determine the annual population of wolves in the state."
