While Norwood Teague has a fundraising rep to uphold, he says he'll wait on any big changes.

"...Teague...says he plans to spend the first 100 days of the new job mainly listening to staff, donors and constituents while evaluating the needs of the program before determining any plan of action..." So, our new Norwood's plan is to collect his first $108,000.00 from the U of M making sure he doesn't rush to any kind of action. I guess this fits in pretty well with our prexy k's new right hand "utility" handy-man and ace "sports management class teacher, joel maturi. So, I guess that I will give our new Norwood a hundred days to start improving on the Big Ten Win situation in Football and Men's Hoops. The bar was set pretty low by maturi in the Big Ten Football and Men's Hoops Big Ten Win catagory... Our new Norwood needs to use his first 100 days wisely. My first suggestion to him is to take a good look at just how competetive Football and Men's Hoops have been during the past five seasons. He really might want to cut his " nothing..." time frame down to two or three days rather than 100 days though... ; 0 )

It doesn't take 100 days or a genious to know that Borton has driven the women's basketball program into the ground! Next year will be the same-o-same-o across the board... status quo, just like the U likes it!

Same old same old. First priority is fundraising. Nothing about improving the quality of the teams, getting students to graduate.... As an alumni, count me out. I am tired of dismal preformance and the constant gimmie gimmie disease that infects the U.

prexy k cam in with the same line...he was going to spend his first 3 or 6 months (I don't reacall which...but it was a significant period of time) pretty much just "...kicking back...chilling out and WATCHING..." Then, there is always the "throw away" season that brewster thought he had. He went 0-8 in Big Ten play and 1-11 for the 2007 season. He left pretty much the same way during that partial season he coached before he was removed from duty mid-season. Someone needs to tell our new Norwood and our somewhat new prexy k that all the administrators who had lived in their offices always thought they needed to take lots of time to "observe" before they take any actions. Some of us darn old long suffering season ticket owners maybe don't have as much time as they do. We have been "observing" for a LONG time...over half a century in my case. Our new Norwood merely needs to study the Big Ten Standings in Football and Basketball (Men's & Women's) and the course of action becomes a bit more urgent... Every time a new coach...a new ad...a new prexy is brought in...the next year has always been pretty much a "throw away..." I don't think the U of M Athletics Department can affort too many more "throw away" periods designated for "observing..." The Big Ten Records NEVER lie...our new Norwood will find the truth when he studies the final standings in the Big Ten Football and Basketball regular season standings...The truth...the Big Ten Standings will tell you all you need to know Norwood... ; 0 )

Teague could get the equivalent of his first million-dollar donation right away by simply cutting Tubby's annual (OVER)payment of salary by a million. Even then, Tubby would be paid more than his win-loss record deserves.

Just what you want to see...standing out front babbling with a cup of Joe. When he said Tubby is gonna get an extension that did it for me. This guy just got his retirement job. There is no hope in Gopher land. Football team predicted to go 0fer in Big Ten Schedule. Minnesota should just discontinue all sports.
