Maurer is a wimp. They need to ask him if they could trade him to the Yankees. $20MM dollar baby!

their setting us up for a time when Joe will miss 5-7 games. He sits for a week & makes $1M. Try to trade him for anything they can get.

Quit with the "trade Mauer" rants, he is not marketable! Nobody wants he and his contract. The Twins would have to eat half his salary and the trade would motivate Mauer to an MVP season for his new team. The Twins would be the laughingstock of the league, he's not going anywhere.

Weeks needs to learn how to run bases. A hot grounder to third and he breaks for home? Even with his speed, he should have known that was an incredibly dumb move on his part.

we all know that if Mauer is missing playing time it has got be be a really bad injury. When has he ever missed a game? he played through the dreaded 'bilateral leg weakness" which no player has ever suffered through. Joe is truly our "iron man".

It's amazing that fans resort to a message board to rip's Mauer's toughness. It's real easy to sit back behind a computer and question one's toughness. If he keeps on pace with his at bats this year, he will have the most at bats of any catcher in the MLB in two of the last three seasons. I really hope no one breaks a nail when they're typing their rants about Mauer. Give it up!

Guy starts the game hurting, gets more hurt, keeps playing, single-handedly keeps his team in the game while pretty much the rest of the lineup flails around like fools, and gets ripped for his efforts. Ridiculous. Time to get over last year, people. It's weird to me that our best player is playing well yet people will find any excuse to rip him. Hint: ripping highly-paid players without reason does not make you a smart fan.

Weeks likely went in hard on Mauer because he was mad for being dumb enough to try to score from 3rd on a grounder to 3rd. The fact no Twins pitcher put Weeks on the ground afterward for going after Mauer shows either a lack of baseball IQ or an indifference to Mauer. Either one is not good.
