So... An unwed mother who produces 5 children... and has no means of support... will stick the taxpayers with over $1 million in expenses to support her children?
totaltruth: you are correct but did not go far enough. How about the young family, that is struggling, deciding to have several children as well. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I have seen poor families raise wonderful kids, but most of the time, it doesn't happen that way even though they are hard working people. Back in the 60's remember the push for zero population growth? It was a simple formula. Have two kids, to replace the father and mother. Maybe it is time to renew this effort? Further, maybe we need to insist both partners solve 10 algebra problems before they can have kids too.
