The Thunder don't shoot 30% from the field Ricky. Most over rated player in the NBA.

Really johnsteel? The Timberwolves tanked hard after Rubio went out. I think he's highly underrated and very important to the Timberwolves.

Happy Father's Day to the Chief, Sid, and all of you other Dads out there, have a great day. I would also like to add I like Rubio's attitude there is never a crime with being positive. I hope it catches on to others. Have a great day,

SI haws Gopher football team at 0-8 in the Big Ten. No doubt about it --Kill is bringing respect to the Gopher football program. Gopher football is a disgrace!!

Ricky IS the franchise. Kevin Love is perhaps the best PF in the NBA, but this team goes nowhere without Rubio running the show. I've been saying it for a long time, a good shooting guard who can create his own shoot and loves to get to the rim is what is needed to give us a chance at competing with the Thunder. OJ Mayo et al would fit the bill very nicely.

SI's predictions are worthless. Kill is on his way to turn around the program which takes several seasons minimum in this case. They still have a ways to go but they will be very young this season, yet will be much better than last year when they actually won two big ten games.

Utah sneaking into the playoffs allowing the Wolves to get their draft pick this year is HUGE. It's a very deep draft and we have a shot at getting SG Austin Rivers or SG Robertson, a 6'7 athletic guard who can shoot and get to the rim with good upside. I like Pek but defending the rim with Love and Pek together is a big problem. They are very good together offensively however. Hopefully we can get a couple of solid free agents. If we can either draft or sign a star SG then we are immediately a playoff team.

Maybe the Twinkies could save some of that $38M they're paying the M&M boyz and get a few more $500,000 players like Plouffe, who has outhomered the delicate duo all by himself. M&M boyz are a huge drain on this franchise. They should have been the first to go, but Bill Smith has ruined this franchise for as long as Mauers contract. What a huge mistake that was, signing him for $175M, when there were NO OTHER BIDDERS!!! He was already under contract, and their excuse for signing him early, at his highest value coming off an MVP season, was probably to avoid a bidding war. Hindsight is 20/20, but it has turned out to be the biggest blunder in the history of all professional sports. Who would have bid anything on an oft injured, powerless, over the hill, major league leading double play hitting in to hitter? Hey, hey Joe, it's time to go! Nobody who cares an ounce about this team wants to see you play for the Twinkies.

When will some Gopher football (fans?) stop badmouthing the football program? Gopher football began to struggle when the Vikings came on the scene and University presidents had a hands off attitude. Donna Shalala became president of the University of Wisconsin and started a process to bring that great university where it is today. Nebraska has 5 national championships, Iowa 0, Wisconsin 0. Penn State 2. Minnesota 6. Mason beat Penn State 4 times and was robbed by the officials twice more. I think we can get back on tract with a little attitude adjusting.

Interesting to hear Rubio say that "Pek knows his place on the court". That's a high compliment. The Wolves still need the SF to emerge or be found. They need a few high fliers at the rim to alter and block shots too. And they need a SG who can create and drain shots. On the current roster, Derrick is the player most likely to emerge. I have big doubts about Wes and Beasley. Kahn needs to bring Adelman into the room and take a good look around the league. The Wolves need to do some dealing, I think. Look at how important toughness and smarts is in the Finals. Sefalosha and Fisher play great defense for OKC and Battier is all over the floor for Miami.
