Great Monday morning read. Especially the stories of three successful entrepreneurs who figured out how to deal with the recession, make their companies stronger, and grow. Made tough decisions. Worked hard. Created jobs.

•The private sector has recovered half the 8.8 million jobs lost during the 2008-09 recession. -- The Washington Post reported May 29 that the percentage of workers aged 25-54 who are employed is at its lowest point at any time in the last 23 years before the recession. -- •Corporate profits are headed for a third consecutive strong year and the stock market has doubled in value since the depths of March 2009. -- There are those who will tell you that the Federal Reserve's policy of buying Treasuries to inflate asset values makes the market artificially high. When the debt crisis hits here, and it will, equities aren't going to be a real good place to be. •A surging U.S. oil-and-gas industry, coupled with innovative technology, has cut U.S. reliance on imports and helped lower energy prices. -- Hmm. The price of gasoline in my town has gone up 18 cents in the last 14 days, and now stands at $3.75 per gallon. I don't call that cheap, do you?

I appreciate that the author took a neutral political position. Partisonship is for the commenters such as myself. Obama has done a great job turning around the economy and he will also lead us on long term debt reduction, as long as the TeaCons don't stand in the way, as they have been doing.
