After a rough start, the hot-hitting Twins infielder is ably filling the void left by Danny Valencia's departure.

It would seem that every team has Minnesota connections and only Sid can root them out.

Hey Sid...We all know Plouffe is on a cute little run with the bat, but, I hope you aren't saying he is solid defensively. How about going to ESPN and pulling up the fielding percentages for AL thirdbasemen with over say 30 chances. Now, where is Plouffe on that list? That's right!! Now while you're roasting Valencia's fielding from LAST year, look where he is on that same list. Oops, better not report that!! We all know Valencia is stinking up the joint offensively this year, but, please don't try to sell us on Plouffe being the defensive answer at third just yet!!

PLOUFFE IS SUCCESSFUL AT BAT BECAUSE HE IS HITTING THE PITCH EARLY AND PULLING THE BALL AND NOT WAITING FOR THE PITCH TO GET DEEP AND WITH A "SHORT SWING" HIT THE BALL PAST THE PITCHER AND OPPOSITE MIDDLE INFIELDER AS IS THE TWINS AND VAVRA'S WAY AS OFTEN STATED BY KELLY, GARDENHEIR AND ALL THE TWINS ANNOUNCERS WHO PLAYED FOR THE TWINS. PLOUFFE HAS LITTLE RANGE TO EITHER SIDE BUT A STRONG ARM AT 3RD BASE BUT WHO CARES WHEN HE IS HITTING A HOME RUN EVERY TWO GAMES SINCE HE STOP TRYING TO HIT THE BALL "THE OTHER WAY OR UP THE MIDDLE".

Don't look now, but a player is giving credit to Joe Vavra. I guess he was lying and the posters here know better. Hey, lets bring up David Ortiz's name one more time. Nevermind the fact that Ortiz was injured mostly with the Twins and the dimensions in Fenway have helped him tremendously, not to mention his um, workout routine...cough cough...

Vavra was fired in Chicago cuz he screwed up all the the Chisox power hitters. gardy and all his coaches have to go!

partskcoj you don't have clue. Vavra never coached for Chicago. Most of you Vavra bashers have never made it past T-Ball. Joe quietly goes about his business. Maybe go to Ft. Myers and watch what is going on. There is a huge void of talent. It was blown away the last four years. And AAA was a disaster. Poor fundamentals. It will take Ryan time to rebuild.

The story on the Gophers stadium doesn't sound right to me. Why would Ames screw around just to give all of the money back? Why not lower his bid? There must be something else going on there, but Sid wants to blame the U for the problem. That could be but I don't think we are hearing the whole story. Something stinks in there.

Plouffe! 2 more HRs in last night game. Let's see Plouffe hits the same number of HRs in one game as did Mauer. Don't know who is giving Plouffe batting tips and advices...the rest of the Twins hitters need to get some!
