Great article. I hope Wright and Childs can get as tight with Ponder as they are with one another.

Great story Dan- I had heard the two have been playing together forever but it was nice to get a behind the scenes look. Not sure what "jeffdes" is thinking but i couldnt diagree more. Childs reminds me of a better version of Alshon Jeffrey, better condition, faster, better vertical.

Wonderful story--warm and fuzzy feelings all over. I've never been so excited about two 4th round picks as these guys! Only 20 or so WR's were drafted before these guys in April. How could the Vikings possibly be wrong?

I hope beyond hope that both pan out....to say Wright is Percy Part II is a bit of a stretch. He is just not built like Harvin to take those hits in the middle like Percy. Small hands too. My only worries about Childs is his durability. Torn Patella tendon fully healed and first day of rookie minicam and he strains his calf muscle which puts him out 4-6 weeks...he has yet to participate in OTA's. Like I said, I hope beyond hope that both can produce, but not expecting much from either this year....if Healthy, more from Childs than Wright.

The vikings do not have enough roster spots to keep these two bums around as benchwarmers.

They both have talent. Childs was projected as a possible round 1-2 pick before he got hurt. Wright had that unbelievable performance gaining nearly 300 yards on 14 catches. Sure they could both be busts, but I am optimistic. The difference maker here just might be the fact that they have been together for a very long time. The dynamic together likely produces a lot of challenge and competition. And, when things get tough they have each to feed off of for support. Spielman just might have pulled a genius move by drafting them both. I wish them the best and hope they both make the squad. Skol Vikes!

That's awesome. They go through all that as kids and now are going to go win a Super Bowl together with the Vikes. Yeah Buddy.
