Too risky for the Wild to sign him. I believe he's gone and so is PMB.

Sign him for a one year deal. If he flops, we have Coyle and Phillips ready to roll.

If I was FLetch and the team doctors cleared him I would give him a one year deal for around 1.2 mil. If he plays back to his normal self for a team lacking scoring that is huge for us. If he gets injured again, not a big loss at a 1.2 cap hit and let him go after next season. Even he has a fair year we can look to trade him at the deadline for picks or something. If he is willing to take a deal for 1.2 mil, I say it is low risk high reward.

we def need to sign Latts...to a 1-yr deal. If he stays healthy and resembles his performance from 2-yrs ago, Fletcher will be a genius.

Seriously? In the lineup until the next time he nicks himself shaving, or stubs a toe, then it's out for what two months? No wait, the toe is a season ending injury for the Wild.

Hopefully Josh Harding is given the driving directions out of town by Fletch. The Wild need to plan for the years after Backstrom's ludicrous contract ends. And you don't plan for it after it ends, but before. That means Hackett as back-up. Roloson, Theodore and Backstrom all had been around a while, so such players could be found if needed.

Hockey fans in general have been 'cheated by concussion' from seeing the best of what the game could offer. As a hockey fan (not particularly Wild fan) Lats and PMB would have made Wild games I watched tons better- Wild had no talent worth watching last season other than net minders- who appeared quite busy each game. NHL keeps shooting itself in the foot! 3 things to reduce concussions 1. go to old school 'soft sider' elbow and shoulder pads' and other than lower body protection, 'n' cups & helmets, ban the hard plastic protection/weaponry used to deliver concussive hits- 2. minimum 30 game suspensions for head shots. 3. Olympic sized ice sheets. Players are now too large and fast for the rink dimensions established a century ago when players were smaller slower and less physically conditioned. You'll never see #3 though because NHL won't give up the seat revenue to expand the ice surface.

Need to sign Lats - you have an NHL proven power forward who actually wants to be here. Need to sign him, need his size and scoring.

milena 11, genius ???? Latendress for Pouliot, I now 100% believe I would try to sign Pouliot over Latendress concussions aside. Both these guys you shiver when you talk about offering up anything more than 2 years in Pouliots case and 1 year max in Lattendresses case... if you could offer Lats a 3 month contract with an insurance policy, thats the best way to handle this guy) ......... I will give the guy this, he is 25 so things might get slightly better for him concussion and weight aside
