Bert's Cabins on the north side of Itasca State Park. It's not on a lake, but you've got all of Itasca to enjoy, a pool and roomy well kept cabins. The owners are accomodating for any special needs and did I mention Itasca?

Birch Bay? Are you serious? Golf course is an absolute joke. Spongy, long greens. Rooms in the Inn are old, not updated in years, grungy. Continental breakfast is a joke. Sorry, but I wouldn't go there again.

Thanks so much for featuring Minnesota Resorts. There's nothing quite like a MN lake resort to bring families together and create lasting memories. Our resort has received many inquiries from this article, and we appreciate the Tribune promotion. For those of you who haven't planned your summer getaway yet, give one of the resorts a call!
