Ponder smiling? You mean Joe Webb, right? After all, Joe Webb will be the starter this year.

First, they're not playing with pads and gear on and there's no hitting allowed. Second, was it a case of a great effort and catch on Simpson's part or an indication of how poor Chris Cook is at defending???? Just sayin!!

The Favre to Rice combo in 2009 was pretty good - that's been since we traded Moss...

Looks like the old "speed" stories are being used again to try and convince us purple homers that the vikings somehow have a talented player when in reality all they have is a player that was not even a starter and cut from the Bengals. If Simpson had any real talent for the long term the Bengals would have kept him on their roster !!! The vikings used the same BS about "speed" when they tried to tell us that Troy Williamson had all this talent and all us purple homers know how that one worked out. They also said the same things about Bernard Berrian as well and where did he end up??? That's right, on the chopping block!!!

"The Bengals might not have let such an athletic, young player become a free agent had he not been in trouble. Simpson faces a three-game suspension under the league's substance abuse policy stemming from his conviction earlier this spring on a felony drug charge." ---- A felony charge? That is a resume requirement in order to be on Wilf's team! And, proves the reason why the Hennepin County crime lab building should remain adjacent the future Metrodome Version 2.0.

WOW, if the vikings are hanging their hat on Simpson to give a spark to their pathetic vanilla offense they are in bigger trouble than all us purple homers already know!!! Simpson was not even a starting WR on a mediocre Bengals team and in the off season they outright cut him. So how is it that he is somehow the answer to the vikings passing woes??? This sounds like the same lie that Winter Park tried to feed us homers before last season when they said Bernard Berrian had a whole new positive attitude and how he was going to turn things around and that was going to be the key to the vikings success. All us homers know how that turned out. LOL!!!

Cincy fan here. Simpson was let go , not because he is a doper, but because he sometimes would have mental lapses, had far too many drops, and he was exasparating to the coaches. he just wasn't getting it. Plus we drafted Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones. Good complements for AJ Green. Sorry Viking fans..you didnt get much.

So he makes a catch in practice against someone who was part of the worst secondary in the NFL. Ya. Get excited. Plus, it doesnt matter how good he is, Musgrave dont know how to use anybody anyway.
