Thanks to a rage that trumps age, Kevin Garnett and the Celtics have a leg up on the mighty Miami Heat.

Watching Kevin Garnett play basketball, especially when he is playing to win, is nothing but a joy. What do owners know anyway?

Biggest mistake of Glen Taylors life was letting KG go. I dropped my season tickets when they did, and will never return to another Wolves game.

KG is the true definition of a champion! He has the heart of a lion, the intensity of a gladiator, and the leadership of a general. When you (McHale) cannot build a franchise around this guy, you might as well retire.

The only reason I care at all about the Celtics is KG.When I watch him and Ray Allen on the floor together I often think about what could have been. When I listen and or read fans here say that Kevin Love is better than KG I just laugh.

Great column! What always separated KG was his fire, particularly on defense. I know many complain about his offensive deficiencies, but every night, no matter how bad our Wolves were, he brought it on defense. I have always thought that is what made him a great player.

A travesty that a collection of errors around the franchise here led to KG's frustration. Starting with Marbury having some problem adapting to Minnesota city life... the inability to surround KG with competent talent, the death of Malik Sealy, the screwhead mentality of Latrell Sprewell, and the horrible, corrupted lottery system of the NBA. KG was definately once in a lifetime talent and personality, and it was a privlege and honor for Minnesota to have a star like that in the sporting scene.

The other owner Garnett was referring to was one of the most clueless and inept in professional sports: Glen "the team didn't tank so much as KG tanked" Taylor

I often think of what could have been had KG and Stephon Marbury played their careers in MN.
