It'll be hard to find that "union label." Unions have driven most manufacturing out of the U.S.
DufferH - """It'll be hard to find that "union label." Unions have driven most manufacturing out of the U.S."""_________________Usually it is relatively easy to find union goods... Just look for items with high prices and low quality. US made automobiles are a good example. Another good example are any services provided by government employees!!!!
the truth hurts doesn't it?
What a dumb cartoon. When do we get to see a donkey driving a prius chasing fiscal resposibility down the road?
No, the Union Label is on items made by private market unions. The Unions Walker went after were the public sector unions that don't manufacture anything. Since public sector unions work for taxpayers please tell me why they exist.
Unions do provide higher wages, that's why management doesn't like them. If you think low wages and the resulting decrease in consumer buying power are good things for our economy, then by all means continue to dismantle labor unions.
DufferH: :Unions have driven most manufacturers out of the U.S." No, corporate greed has driven them out.
redblack30 - ""Unions do provide higher wages, that's why management doesn't like them.""
WRONG ON ALL COUNTS!!!
I have personally taken part in the decertification of two unions... In both cases, the replacement workers were paid as much or more than the union workers... But in both cases productivity increased by over 75%.
With the union mentality a businesses gets 4 hours of daily productivity for a competitive wage. With fair-minded non-union employees you get over 7 hours of productivity for a competitive wage.
Laziness is and bogus work rules are destroying the unions!!!!
