Vikings' back Todman is vying for touches

He signed with the practice squad in December and stuck around. Now he's in the mix to be the Vikings' No. 3 running back.

It's great and exciting to have a young guy who has some football talent try hard to come in and earn a spot on the team. You can tell the team is getting younger and hopefully this means more aggressive and dynamic as well. I'd love to see this team in second place this year in the NFCN. Will be tough to do though. It's the toughest division.

It's a 3 back league...Peterson's injury is a clear reminder of that. So, if Todman or Gerhart aren't viable in their roles, we need to keep looking. I'm hoping Todman proves to be more of a #2 back...Gerhart hasn't proven himself to have that slot locked yet.
