Alexander: Should schools buy iPads or laptops?

Work gave me an ipad and it's basically worthless. Good for watching netflix, surfing if you have the right place to prop it up, and some other meaningless tasks. It is in no way a proper replacement for a laptop.

With today's popular tablet trends, many business owners are providing them for their employees. However, they may not necessarily be a replacement for laptops, especially in college or high school. Some may prefer one over the other, but it's certainly possible that school systems may be swayed to utilize tablets in the near future.

Our school went to Ipads, what a joke, they were all jailbreaked about 3 weeks into school, no teachers use them except for calendars and we pay for the insurance. Waste of time and money
