Joe says: Am I eligible for either a bonus or Workman's Comp?

Must have hit one off the trademark grounding out to the 2nd baseman. Stingers!

The Tigers are 6-6 in Justin Verlander's starts this season. He's making $20 million to appear in no more than 35 games. Good thing he's not a Twin, because for most people here, Mauer's $23 million is a millstone. Of course, Verlander isn't a Twin, so there won't be any comment about his contract. Most people who comment here don't follow other teams.

Put Joe on the 60 day DL right now! No more MRI exams, cortizone shots, day-to-day and see if it gets better, etc. With the way the Twins trainers work, just assume it's 60 days...

@ballfour, you couldn't be more correct. That and for some reason, lots of folks in Minnesota hate people that make a lot of money...

matthewJamesJun. 3, 12 6:50 PM

No, only if they don't earn it.

pazalunaJun. 3, 12 9:18 PM

you really are going to bring up Verlander and compare him earning his money compared to the guy who has 2 CAREER home runs at Target Field. that is laughable at best. Verlander is leading the league in strikeouts, 3rd in WHIP, and 5th in ERA. it's too bad BALLFOUR is unable to think critically about the game of baseball.

gopherguts57Jun. 3, 12 9:44 PM

BallFour - c'mon, are you really trying to compare one of the best pitchers in all of baseball to average Joe? If you follow JV you would know that in all but one of those losses he had a quality start but little run support. If you want to crack on Detroit and the big payroll go with Fielder not JV. As for Joey, did he really get hurt in the DH role? No place else to stick him but the bench.
