TD probably would have broke every rushing record known if he had been able to keep playing. the guy was unstoppable.

I am sorry but td was a system running back. If you would've put him on another team that didn't run the bronos running scheme he would of had average #'s! You put AD on another team he still puts up crazy #'s,mThe talent level between AD and TD well not even close. AD is almost the exception to every rule of nature. AD is like Wolverine from Xmen and TD is a human.

You put AD on another team and he still puts up crazy numbers? - not the point AT All. Talent level has ZERO to do with this article. ZERO. We're talking about recovering from A SPECIFIC TYPE OF INJURY, a recovery which is very nearly the same for every player. In the article (which is the point, here), Davis is spot-on correct - you're never the same, sentiments about super human skills notwithstanding. On a different point, Davis was a downhill runner who almost never lost yardage (unlike AD), and had a superb offensive line in Denver. He couldn't cut, but in short yardage situations, he was completely superior to AD. Completely (in other ophases, not close to AD, of course)

kfanvike - I realize its a little off topic but having watched TD his entire career, Peterson is superior in every way possible. Davis was good, but certainly more of a system back. He didn't have the instincts as Peterson as he was clearly a north south runner. Anyone who watched him after his injury could tell he was it was his confidence that was the problem and as he said in this article, the other knee started to bother him greatly during that last season. I can't see Peterson having either of these problems.

All conjecture my friends. Remember AP has had a poor Offensive line in 4 of his 5 years. Which is a shame because the Vikings blew it by not taking care of that area when you have a FREAK like AP. As far as his knee? If he gets his knee to 100% full strength and there are no lingering issues I see him doing great things. But how many times does that happen? All we can do is pray and hope because none of us know what is going to happen.

Every person is different.I to am leary about AD ability to come back as fast as he says.I personally hope he's right and comes back stronger then before. He sure is a treat to watch.

TD does not equal AD I didn't see Adrian favoring any knee in those rehab videos. TD is just sour about how he went down. Doesn't mean crap for any other player. Terry Allen had both knees fixed and went on to a great few years.. get lost TD...

TD is not even close to the same caliber athlete as AP. Oh and when did he ripp up his knee, 1999. 13 years and I would imagine science and medicine has come quite far in ACL rehibilitation. TD was very good dont get me wrong but athletically not even on the same planet as AP so getting that ability back after the knee was very hard for him. AD u the man, just keep doing what you are doing. See you Sept 9th!!!
