Sid, you and Frazier said the SAME things before the beginning of last season and low and behold the vikings finished in last place in the NFC North for the second consecutive season with a 3-13 record. Frazier also continued his losing streak with his inability to defeat a NFC North opponent losing allsix Division games. Unfortunately us purple homers expect more of the same in 2012 because nothing was done in free agency to upgrade the talent on either side of the ball. On the defensive side inserting two rookies who have not yet taken a snap in a NFL game in the defensive backfield will spell disaster immediately. Same goes for the horrible O-line, losing Hutch will have an immediate negative impact as Ponder will continue to run for his life as the sacks pile up against him just as quick as the viking's losses. Frazier's 6-16 record as head coach speaks volumes as to where this club is headed, hopefully Spielman will also be out the door as well when the purple finish 4-12 this season!!!

Sid you showed your heart with the tip of your hat to Dark. And your concern for the family of that six year old kid. Underneath that "grumpiness" beats a heart of gold, Sid. Bless you.

I read in the paper that the offensive coordinator want to expand the use of the two tight end offense that is so dynamic and makes defensive coordinators stay up all night worrying about the vikings. The minute they do this, the safeties come up and Peterson's running game just struggles. Please, put the speed burners on the outside and let them fly to keep the safeties back where they belong. Then watch Peterson run.

Nobody can sell tickets by saying we are still miles away from the rest of the division. Pretty much the same rhetoric we always hear this time of year. Vikes, improved from last year, yes, but improved is still likely a 5 or 6 win team.

Sid, both the "geniuses" and Leslie Frazier will probably be right. The Vikings will likely have "a lot better football team" but still finish at the bottom of the NFC North. If they win twice as many games this year, they will end up last in the NFC North.

Classy stuff in regard to Dark Star. I would have expected nothing less from Sid. Vikes win six games next year. look for the Twins to begin the rebuild of their starting pitching corps with next week's draft. Trades and free agents will have to help fill the void at the deadline and in the off-season.

Great job remembering Dark Star and your friend Carl Platou. Your reporting on the death of the 6 year old at Oak Ridge was also very well done. It's obviously been a tough week for you, God bless.
