She is a milquetoast senator. Where is she standing up for creating jobs by incenting industries to do more hiring? What a waste of a senate seat.

I swear, Sen. Amy never met a fluff-bunny, feel-good "issue" she didn't like. If indeed all she wants to do is work as a "consumer advocate" or whatever, we need to replace her with someone willing to take on the tough roles more befitting of a US SENATOR.

Kurt Bills is the right person for this job. Klobuchar has been a "feel good" senator who has done nothing but be Obama's lackey. We need someone who will tackle the tough fiscal issues that this country faces. Someone with a spine.

I seriously hope the author never needs a pacemaker, coronary stent, AED or any of the other devices we make in MN that do actually save lives. Odds are he will and odds are he won't admit that he was wrong when he does.

Great article, Strib. I am glad someone else is noticing at least some of the many problems with Klobuchar. She pretends to be an advocate for the average person but she really doesn't do much for the average person at all. She does not work to protect the environment but instead supports policies that harm the environment (e.g., use of coal for production of electricity). She didn't lift a finger to help get universal health care. What has she done to help create jobs. Klobuchar likes be a senator but, unfortunately, she doesn't like the work required to be a good senator. Ugh. Klobuchar is one big disappointment. She seems as phony as a wooden nickel.

Sure, consumer advocate. But she didn't help the medical device manufacturers, several of which are here in MN. She allowed them to be taxed the the bejesus to fund the quacking Obamacare. It hurts employment. She's not independent. She's not for the working class. She's voted in lockstep with what Obama wants. That hasn't been good for the country and it hasn't been good for MN.

Who is this Klobuchar that you speak of? Never heard of her before. What does she do?

Consumer advocate??? Ok, how many are now not consuming much of anything because of Amy's spending us into oblivion, and borrowing 40 cents of every dollar, which is destroying the economy?

Surely Paul John Scott, freelance writer, can point to a number of corpses due to the alleged insufficiency of the 510(k) premarket approval process. (Hint: There are none.) Amy Klobuchar is inadequate for office, but not for this reason.

This is getting SO old! Yes, Klobuchar is an incumbent. Yes, she is a female. Does that mean that the DFL will give her a free pass forever? Cozying up to Michele Bachmann on the Bridge to Nowhere, relentlessly working to remove federal protections for the wolf, failing to take the lead on equal marriage rights and ending our foreign wars. Now she shows herself to be in med-tech's hip pocket. Klobuchar is a disgrace, pure and simple!
