Anderson: Conditions promising for ducks, pheasants

If the weather is wet enough for ducks yet dry enough for pheasants during June breeding season, the region's bird hunters might be in luck.

This is such good news! I just love to kill ducks and phesants.

Dennis, Dennis, Dennis! I don't know where you have been driving in the western part of the State but I see things a lot different! What I have seen isn't good, did you see what took place last fall once the crops came out? The waterfowl need more than just water for raising a brood. Were lacking nesting cover, one of the key elements for raising ducks and pheasants.

There is no such thing as a temporary wetland in minnesota. The water runs off into a drainage ditch within days where in the dakotas it it there until it evaporates. Minnesota is a lost cause.
