The Twins new marketing slogan for the next decade, "PLENTY of good seats available."

You nailed it pretty good, Jim Souhan. Bad baseball it is, and doesn't look like it is going to get any better soon. But I still can get somewhat angry, at the bad baseball, at the lack of scouting ability, at the lack of fundamentals, at the lack of any power pitching. What did someone say, power pitching costs money, and the Twins don't want to spend for power pitchers. Well, you reap what you sow.

Good points, but the badness came so suddenly and unexpectedly, that just now I'm starting to savor it.

Worse part, though, is that the organization will look for more stupid tricks to draw people to park. How many mascot races will they have per game towards the end of the summer? Saw a game at Wrigley s couple if weeks ago and almost forgot they could play a game without manufactured noise and between inning games.

if joe mauer were moved down to 7th or 8th in the batting order, the double plays probably would not hurt quite as much....

Great article Mr Souhan! It all does come down to enjoying "The Game" not necessarily the Twins. A person does not have to come home with a boatload of fish to have had a great day of fishing. And so it is with the local sport scene. If your expectations are only realized by seeing our teams in the playoffs or even in first place, you might be disappointed for the majority of the time. Relax and yes, enjoy the Twins when you have a row all to yourself.

I've been hard on you for your last articles. But this was a great one helps get me back to earth. I do get to about 4 games a year not as many as I would like. So what do you suggest I do when watching on TV. Turn the channel maybe.
