WHEN I write on here i try and be nice about the twins pitching but really guys 15-30.SWARZAK belongs as a long reliever he is not a starter.I cant even to begin about how terrible LIRIANO is.CARROLL is having a ood year he had 17 RBI last year and has 14 all ready this year.THE twins are a real mess.

Why did I buy tickets for Sunday's game...what in the world was I thinking. Even Detroit is not the team I had hoped to see!

They should burn the tape to this game and never let it see the light of day again. Horrendous defense on both sides. Terrible pitching on both sides, questionable umpiring, a game that took close to 4 hours to play. Everything baseball is not supposed to be.

It'll be a long time before the Twins roll out a decent rotation. The fact is, the Pohlads are not willing to dish out the cash to bring in good pitching, primarily a hard throwing ace that can get outs while striking out some at the same time. Santana would have cost too much so they tried (and failed) to get something decent for him. We have a couple a guys on the farm that are able to strike guys out, but they are years away from the bigs. another problem is that our farm system has terrible medical and training staffs. Wimmers, Gibson, Waldrop all got hurt down on the farm and that will seriously affect their quality. The twins are a miserable organization and will be for a while until Ryan can fix the farm and the Pohlads dish out some cash (like that'll ever happen).

This team is in such dire need of a change in culture. (Meaning, leadership) Listening to Ron Gardenhire's boring, colorless analysis of yet another game in which he was in over his head...I know he can't pitch, but really can he effectively manage anymore either??? The road trip was surprising, but the same thing happened last year en route to 99 losses; the Twins got hot for a little bit then went back to being their same sucky selves. This team is capable of a lot more than this, even with this pitching. Perhaps a different staff could get more out of the pitching??? Bring in Molitor, Cuellar, and Bruno and let's get on with the future already.

Can Gardy ever say we stunk instead of "that's a great ball club over there". No they aren't and they're not even at 500.

I saw Bill Smith waddling through the Legends Club tonight, it took a lot of self-discipline to let him pass without lambasting his disastrous run as GM. I'm regretting it now, I should've let him have it!

The team itself is not that bad. However, I will state the obvious. "It was a shot" is a pretty sad attempt at finding another pitcher. The twins have found two diamonds in the rough, but could lose those two just as fast. I just get a kick out of Gardenhire's rationalizations the next day after a pitching flop too. "We put him on injured reserve" or "he didn't tell us he had a tight hamstring" or "he didn't feel well before the game." It gets old.

There was one very fleeting great moment at the game and I wonder if anyone else saw it in the first inning? Did anybody else see the guy walking down the walkway, happen to be in the right place at the right time, get the foul ball on a rebound out of the stands, pick it up, start to walk away with it, and turned and walked back and gave it to a little kid? It made my day.
