Jim Rantz should be fired. Now. This farm system has over estimated a lot of these prospects. And that's on him. How can this guy be number two prospect and hit below .200 in both AA and AAA? Look I all for living the dream but hope he got a degree or gets one, he's not a major league ball player.

Because college baseball is not like college football or basketball judging talent is more unique and costly. Why the Twins won't go the extra mile to insure we get the best players available world wide is beyond me. The Latins comprise at least 1/3 of the major league ball players and how many do we have? Not enough if you want to win. Look at the past players we had Pascual, Carew, Tovar, Oliva, Versalles, and the list goes on. Time to get with the program.

Hey, LaVelle: Talk to the guy the size of a refrigerator who has been treating Pavano. He's a reputable practitioner, and a formerly prominent athlete in his own right. Pavano isn't getting "deep tissue massage." He's not getting Rolfing. He's getting "active release technique" treatment. I don't thoroughly understand what that is either, but the huge blond guy you see at Target Field around 2:00 PM a couple days before Pavano's starts knows what it is. You should ask him. He won't tell you any state secrets. He works with many local pro and college athletes. There might be a story there. I think Reusse knows the guy.

Rantz is a lifetime member of the country club. He's been in the org practically his entire life. He's not going anywhere. And neither if Gardy, TR, TC, the inane mascot race, shall I continue...?

You guys have amazing insight into the details of scouting and player development. How did you become so much smarter than a very successful organization?

Did the Twins consider that perhaps the reason he is hitting so poorly is because they have stunted his growth and emasculated him by forcing him to continue to languish in the minors at 25? The guy is ready for the big leagues, so stop punishing his psyche in Double A and bring him up here as soon as he's back! Under no circumstance should Erik Komatsu or Darin Mastroianni be getting big league ABs while he's available.

Many of Vavra's students break their hamate bone. Vavra's swing late with a short stroke to the ball needs to be replaced along with the instructor. Ortiz called this "hitting like a girl" and he broke his hamate bone twice while with the Twins.
