Go see it! OK, I'm biased because the screenplay was written by a friend, but I loved the movie -- and I'm not a big fan of military films. That's not really what this is -- it's a generational story showing our troops as human beings. Very well told and shot here in Minnesota to boot. Worth your time this weekend to check it out.

By what rules do you deem any of the cast, "Non-professional"? A great portion of them are working actors. Way to be insulting. Great Job Memorial Day cast!! Was an incredible group of performances from very PROFESSIONAL actors!!

As a veteran and a history buff, I have a feeling that the confusion between Memorial Day and Veterans Day grows larger every year. The difference is simple, really. On Veterans Day, I thoroughly enjoy being told "Thank you for your service." When I am dead, you can do the same by placing an American flag on my grave.
