Have we seen enough of this Mastroianni guy, yet?

There are going to be a lot of ups-and-downs with this current Twins roster. Scott Diamond and P.J. Walters have added a breath of fresh air...but, they can't save this team. And, there are still a lot of holes with players who don't belong like Mastrioianni, Komatsu and Plouffe for example. Some things might improve here and there...but, it looks like another LONG season! :-)

Glad to get this one out of our system. Diamond pitched good enough to win. Our hitters reminded me of the old country song, Helpless, against a really tough lefty. Defense had an exceptionally bad "day at the office". Get em tomorrow, Twins.

...and Mauer did start hitting well. But, rapped into his baseball-leading 10th double play tonight. He is still not doing enough to earn that $23 million salary. There are smaller slap hitters who don't hit into double plays like he does. It doesn't make sense!!!!

You can't blame that lose on Diamond!!! While he wasn't as sharp as last game, he kept it close.

The Twins have been Sale's toys ever since he first came up. They turn into wimps at the mere mention of his name. And crappier pitchers than he have shut down these Twins. Sometims it is hard to watch these guys.

Whomever writes Gardenhire's post-game comments for him needs to change occupations. " He was really good on us....really didn't give us much of a chance.." pardon me while I wipe a tear away before continuing. Welcome to the big leagues Gardo...opposing pitchers are suppose to do their job...this isn't slow-pitch softball. Whenever the Twins look pathetic at the plate all we ever hear is how great the opposing pitcher was...NEVER do we hear that the team was unprepared, the hitting coach failed with a game plan, I should have tried different strategies ...not taking anything away from Sale, he pitched very well...the Twins hitters were also pathetic. As is the manager.

How can the twins make most opposing pitchers look like Cy Young Award candidates? Is the pitching in baseball that good?
