If time magazine called the dome the worst stadium in the country, then the writer obviously never visited the Oakland Coliseum.

Tearing down a 'compromise' multipurpose stadium on the east side of downtown Minneapolis where baseball and football can be played, so we can build a 'compromise' multipurpose stadium on the east side of downtown Minneapolis where baseball and football can be played. Brilliant!

For the right price, the Vikings will let the locals use the new stadium... But the question is whether one can play baseball in it.. it has a lot of changes -- same seats, same size, same field, a billion dollar tag...

The Mpls city council should make sure that this problem is taken care of before voting their ok.

See? The Metrodome Version 2.0 will only be different in luxury suites which is how Wilfare will make his money and what he wanted all along. There was no authentic consideration for other sports or events! Play your baseball on a rectangular football field or leave is the message the Gophers have been given. It is unfortunate that Sir Odin and Shart at the Capitol had more influence on our legislators than the 5.3 million other Minnesotans.

maybe its time for college baseball to play in the summer. there is no reason to be playing in march in the north. or maybe play the first half of the schedule on the road, and the second half at home. indoor baseball is not good for anyone.

Boshk..well put. The easiest fix is to push the baseball season back, so all games can be played at their new Siebert Field on campus.

Except that's not how the NCAA works... how are you going to get them to push back their whole season to summer when school isn't even in session just for northern schools that can't play in March?
