18 years from now, the GOP/Tea party will cease to exist.

Now that I'll soon be a minority. I wonder if I can use that to my advantage. Next time I apply for a job and don't get it, I'll complain it was because they didn't want to hire a minority.

Big deal, these same studies have been saying the same thing for the past 30 years and their numbers and dates change with every study.

18 years from now, we'll see how are hyper-conservative/tea party friends appreciate fundamental rights being decided by the whims of a majority.

This data if accurate then means that as a group --people who were formerly considered a 'minority' group should now as a group ... be considered the 'majority' and vice versa? taking it further, as an example, does that now mean on surveys, questionaires and loan applications those who were lumped into a and generally catagorized as a generalized group as 'white' will now be further broken down into catagory as 'white of Irish lineage'; 'white of Russian lineage' etal- further making the once majority into an even smaller minority? Will there be a further breakdown of those whose ancestors immigrated to US after the Civil War ... so that post Civil War immigrants can't be held responsible for the horrors of slavery and the attrocities to Native Americans? Or maybe its time to dispense with all the catagorization and just accept others and hope they accept you. For the time being, I'll just be happy if people accept each other as people ... 1 to 1.

Minority vs Majority mind set is the root of discrimination. Solution = We are All Americans, I'm color blind.

We need these immigrants or our economy will be in worse shape then it is now. It'll take generations before the newbies can work their way into positions of power politically and in business and most of us won't be around to see it. But they will and either the GOP will change or they'll find themselves on the outside with their noses pressed against the windows.

I would say that if we are fast approaching a somewhat equal number of "majority/minority" population, that now is the time to dispence with favoritism of certain races. Lots of you are saying you're color blind. Well then truly be colorblind!

I think it's time we all together stop using minority and majority in terms of a person's race. Clearly it is a label that is no longer relevant and it's not helpful.
