I think Jon Stewart said it best at the William and Mary Graduation ceremony in 2004., Competence is a rare commodity these days. This is one more example that proves he was right....

Typical "shoot first - ask questions later" mentality of today's Conservative politicians.

I do think the zoo will eventually look to bring them back though.....the main attraction that always brought out=state people to the MN Zoo was the Dolphin Show....otherwise we'd go to the Como Zoo, or even the Duluth Zoo.

I do not like brokering of animals, if these dolphins were born in the tanks, that is all they know, but a Dolphin Connection and the Chicago zoo does not sound right to me. Where does the Dolfin Connection get them? It really doesn't make you think till something like this happens.

So now we will have a new Dolphin tank filled with sunfish pretending to be Dolphins, a new ballpark with Twins pretending to be baseball players, and a new stadium with Vikings pretending to be football players.

It was a conservative who actually asked questions. The liberals are the ones who spend money without asking. Allegedly the dolphin exodous was shared with some legislators, but not all, before the vote. The zoo messed up, and only admitted it once they got caught.
