So if, as Veeck says, the Saints' relationship with the Twins has mended, why couldn't the Twins kick in a chunk of money for a ballpark in Lowertown that could stamp St. Paul as "Twins territory?" Statues of St. Paul's hall of famers -- all former Twins -- could be built outside the park, and perhaps a Minnesota baseball hall of fame could one day rise nearby.

I know the hurdles are probably insurmountable but how cool would it be to have the Saints become the Twins AAA franchise. You could see prospects and the call up would be much easier. Atlanta has its AAA affiliate in suburban Gwinnet County (GA).

I am so disgusted at the plans to move the Saints to downtown St. Paul! It changes who they are and the experience. Tailgating is such a huge part of going to a Saints game! People play catch and bean bag toss while cooking in the parking lot. It's easy to get to the stadium and easy to leave. There's a nice photo of people in tents camping on the field. Who is going to carry all of that from a parking spot blocks away? Also, the charm of the Saints is their humble, unpretentious home. For the love of God, what about the trains? Don't ruin the Saints!
