Hartman: Gerhart ready if Peterson won't be

 The two Vikings running backs are coming back from knee injuries, but Gerhart says he could play right now.

"...replacing it with a more modern Sports Pavilion that would house all of the men's and women's non-revenue sports." I guess Tubby will have Williams Arena all to himself if all non-revenue sports move to a new facility.

"Gerhart ready if Peterson won't be" --------- Is this supposed to make Vikes fans feel good? Gerhart proved last year he is only good for a straight ahead cloud of dust and 2 yards. Not exactly a replacement for AP.

commonsens4U's comment makes no sense. Gerhart is not a slow plodding back but a quick and powerful one. He averaged more yards per carry at 4.9 than Peterson did 4.7 last season. He also had the longest run at 67 yards to Petersons best at 54. Harvin did even better averaging 6.6 yards per carry so the Vikings certainly didn't need to draft another RB.

I will always appreciate Sid Hartman. I am happy about the new stadium and also the recognition given to a great man and world war 11 veteran Carl Platou.
