It will be interesting to see how the 1% respond to this. They're used to TLC and there's less TL to C. Times are tough for them too. They have to contribute a lot to their Super Pac

jcinmn, maybe the 1% is adjusting their budget in preparation of a major tax increase? Maybe all the lefty's yapping about not paying enough in taxes would be able to finally use some of their own money to be charitable? Life in the Obama economy, trickle up poverty!

There isn't any tax-payer money being spent on this, right? Because NO TAX MONEY FOR ANYTHING, and also, ALL TAXES REFUNDED TO EVERYONE, PAY FOR IT YOURSELF IF ITS SO GOOD!

highlife75: High taxes actually encourage charitable contributions, since the contributions are tax deductible.

There are tax dollars going in in the sense that donors, don't pay taxes on the money donated to the orchestra. It's sad that this treasure for the whole state is struggling. Send the money you have saved in not buying Twins tickets, you'll get a tax deduction and help to stabilize the best orchestra in the Midwest.
