Count me in as someone who might take the "test" on June 30th, 2015. Don't get me wrong, I don't plan on transporting invasive species, I just think this is all too little too late. You can't close the barn doors after the horses have already left.

If our DNR want to find AIS on/in a boat after it comes off an infected lake, they will, a quick 500 bucks in the States coffer.. Wont be long before the functioning people in society will say the he!! with it... Is it worth risking 500 bucks each and every time we go fishing?

I get tired of being talked down to by incompetants. Boats coming off infected lakes should be washed down at the launch sight, then there is no mistake about trailers and boats leaving and not being cleaned. most people on opener are using their boats for the first time they've been in storage 6mo or more

Just think if I was in charge. I would make the fine at $1,000 or more. We need to stop this invasion and have boaters really think what they might do. I just wish more people would use their common sense..

"Just think if I was in charge. I would make the fine at $1,000 or more. We need to stop this invasion and have boaters really think what they might do. I just wish more people would use their common sense.." The AIS war is already over. They are firmly established here. The only thing the DNR is doing now is attempting to exploit the situation by scaring people and making a few bucks on this phony crises with the consent of the ill-informed.
