The First Dozen Reasons Why I Don’t Fish For Walleye 1. No strike;slowly straightening line is about it 2. No fight;hoping not to be detected doesn’t count 3. No speed;walleye speed is actually unknown since they never run 4. No strength;4-pound test line is OK 5. No stamina;sulk on the bottom for up to 2 minutes 6. No size;3-pounders are “nice fish” 7. Leeches, minnows, crawlers;real lures scare ‘em off 8. Jigging;boring idiocy, although it works 9. Tournaments;$55,000 boats, 11-inch fish 10. Too many fins 11. It’s just a perch on steroids 12. They cost less and fight just as hard at the grocery store
