Let's hope Dozier, 25, does better than the other "youngsters" everyone clamored for. Parmelee, 24, isn't hitting his weight. Valencia, 27, is hitting Parmelee's weight, either. Plouffe, 26, isn't hitting a ninth-grader's weight. But then those "free (insert name here)" outcries by "the fans" haven't been too successful. Jason Pridie was one guy "the fans" wanted up here in '07. He made it in '08, never did anything notable and is out of baseball, because AAAA outfielders like Pridie are plentiful. The funniest campaign was "free Randy Ruiz." He had 17 minor league homers in '08 when the wishful thinkers were rewarded that August. He hit one home run for the Twins, was a forgettable Blue Jay after that, and spent the last two years as a forgettable Gaijin in Japan.

Looks like a repeat of last season. There is no excuse for fielding such a pathetic team with the fan support and money this team has to pay for good players. Time for a change in management.

Has this organization and its medical staff learned anything at all? Quit prolonging the surgery with Wimmers. Get it over with so he can start the inevitable process of rehab sooner rather than later. Or maybe they'd prefer to go the routes of Nathan/Baker and convince themselves that a UCL tear will magically heal itself...

I wonder how much scouts look at family medical history before drafting? especially pitchers. It's probably something that can't be predicted, but it seems like certain family lines are subject to more injuries than others. We seem to have a lot of ligament damaged pitchers.

Who in the World is in charge of developing these young pitchers they draft? Fire them now. How many young guys are going to require surgery within years of being drafted? Stop this insanity now. Are their arms that bad so young? What kind of conditioning programs are they using? And what kind of training are they getting from the Twins? This pattern is very disturbing.

Game Changer?!

Well, thats it folks. Our worries are over. Dozier will carry the team.

I don't see how mgmnt. didn't see this coming. You would have to be blind. It's either spend some money,or forget it and sell the team.I can't believe we put a team like this on the field.I think they need their heads examined.Have you seen how the profits go down hill.Re:Timberwolves.Thats whats going to happen.

You give Liam Hendricks 3-4 starts and then ship him back to AAA. What kind of a message does this send to the young players the Twins need to develop? This isn't the first time a call up is put on a short leash. These kids get called up and are given minimal opportunity to prove themselves. They realize they had better be mistake free and perform like an All Star or they will be shipped back down. Nothing like putting undue pressure on these kids. Instead of not having to worry about making any mistakes while pitching / hitting / fielding they end up playing tight and tense and we never get to see their true ability. It would be nice to have a coaching staff that can develop players. Instead we have Gardy and his mind games-
