Is someone trying to free up money to possibly buy a local NFL franchise in case they don't get a new stadium?

Taylor has been a wonderful owner and an asset to our state. He made a terrible mistake in the Joe Smith signing fiasco but otherwise has shown great patience and determination to bring winning pro basketball to Minnesota. In addition he brought Minnesota's only winning franchise the Lynx to our state. Thank You Glenn Taylor !

Maybe Red McCombs will buy the team? Puppy Pride!

This is an excellent opportunity to send another basketball team to LA. Then, give the Lynx all the attention they have truly earned.

I wish Mr. Taylor the best, but his stewardship of the Timberwolves has been disastrous over the past eight years. Since the KG trade to Boston, it has been one misstep after another. I thought they had turned the corner when they brought Adelman in as coach and Rubio turned out to be a promising PG, but then they made the terrible move of giving KLove a four year deal (with player opt-out after year 3, which he will surely exercise). Instead of the max 5 year deal, this franchise will be back in the abyss in three years when Love leaves two years earlier than he could've left. Renewing Kahn's contract last week? The proverbial cherry on a very distasteful sundae.

In reality this is the beginning of the end for the TWolves. Few will lament their passing. And the Lynx will follow.

How about Sid Hartman? He says he ran the Lakers, says he out-foxed the other league general managers, has the money (that Bernie Madoff missed) and knows all the answers. The perfect owner.

How about Joe Mauer? He could afford it.

I would be glad to be your successor, Mr. Taylor. You write up the paperwork naming me as your heir, establishing whatever guidelines you deem necessary and proper (and, of course, legal and binding), and I will sign it. TIMBERwolves stay here, a fan owns the team (and understands the need for a professional caretaker with actual basketball experience, and your legacy lives on!

A true class act unlike the last two Viking owners from TX and NY. DID YOU HEAR THAT? MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF SELLING THE TEAM IS THAT IT STAYS IN MINNESOTA! If the Vikings end up moving, the group of owners that sold the Team to Red McCombs should be blamed first and foremost along with the creepy NFL. By far that was the worst Viking ownership group ever and most sickening part was that they were from Minnesota... Traitors!
