Congrats Monique! So happy to hear that after years of trying the bank finally found the time actually work on her loan rather than just ignoring her, "losing her paperwork" and pushing her into foreclosure.

tthanks for being brave and fighting back, and thanks to those who supported and helped. i hope it is over soon and you get to keep your house and make the lower house payments. You must be a very strong woman and have great faith. Many who work in human service sector jobs don't make the high income to allow us to tuck away savings. Maybe if they paid us wages like bankers, and other financial sectors jobs we could tuck away savings. But I know the work you did before as a youth counselor improved our community more than any banker.

Here's a thought: why don't you put this much time and effort into finding a job.

Pay no attention to the haters and negative comments. Until they "have walked in your shoes", to heck with them. Most of them are probably "fake conservatives" who feel they own the right to judge you. We all know where they will end up! You and your Family will be in my thoughts and prayers!

Pay your bills and you don't lose your home. Seems pretty strait forward to me!!! The bank owns her house until it is paid off... and if she isn't paying, GET OUT! Wish I could not pay may bills for 12 months and then just get them all reduced. Rewarding poor behavior, not a win at all.

So does she have a modifcation or not? The bank doesn't seem to think so. I hope everything works out for her. I am not a hater & I sympathize with her & anyone else in this type of situation - but I don't understand how someone can not make any mortgage payments for 3 years & expect to get a "modification". How do you modify something that doesn't currently exist? When we went through the modification process we still had to make reduced payments evey month while they were processing the paperwork. Yes, it was a pain in the butt & we had to re-submit paperwork a couple of times, but I stayed on top of it & we managed to get it done.

when did owning a house become a basic civil right? has this woman made any attempt to find more affordable housing? I can't afford a house either, so ya know what? I don't try to buy one.
