He likes Orange County and hopes to keep playing for the Angels, but said he'd be open to returning to the Twins next year.

It would be nice to see him come back....but I think he's not quite old enough, and still a bit too productive, to be the kind of player Terry Ryan would go after.

I thought Hunter said he wants to win, so why on Earth would he come back to the Twins? They obviously aren't looking to win now a days, it's more about how much money can they save. This team is worse than last years

While Torii is great for the quotes and an irritant to Mauer he only wants one thing, money. Which is not a bad thing. Remember his last year here, every city the Twins visited he told the opposing city how great it would be to play there. Same deal here.

Ha-ha, that Torii sure is a kidder, isn't he?

Twins owner should realize by now that the whole field management has to go. Twins players have tuned out Gardenhire, Rick Anderson is an embarassment for a pitching coach and Vraa has to be the worse hitting coach in major league baseball. Twins set to lose more than 99 games this year. Fans will stop coming to see a terrible team.

I hope Torii would come back. He was a great player here. He'd be a vocal leader in the clubhouse. His production right now would see him batting third. Plus, maybe he'd light a fire under Mauer's butt and get him to play on days he has a hangnail.

This coaching staff is not getting the job done. They may be very capable, but it is obvious that the guys aren't responding anymore, if they ever did. I said it last year, but Gardy has had his time in the manager's seat. Time for another manager to get a chance to lead this team and bring in new coaches to replace Anderson and Vavra.
